A little over a year ago in March 2025, my mom came home one day with a small surprise for me which was a little yellow Parakeet bird. At first, I couldn’t believe that I had a little bird and I knew it would be the start of our adventures together. My mom had gotten me my first small bird cage that came with all the essentials for my little bird. Since my little bird was yellow, I named her Tweety which was a popular name for a bird. I gave her food and water as I set up her new home. I couldn’t believe I had such a cute little Parakeet that all I could do was look at her chirping in her cage. Mango, my Chihuahua, also made a new friend as he would sit by her cage and watch her. I knew they were going to be best furry friends!
A few weeks later, I knew that Tweety needed a bird friend to keep her company. That’s when I went to the Pet store with my mom and got her friend, Angel, a White Parakeet. When I got home, I introduced Angel to Tweety in their cage for the first time and they became friends instantly. I also got my bird a few toys to play with as well as a cuddly little hideout to sleep in. Tweety and Angel were loving their toys and new treats I got them. I knew that they would bond instantly and become great friends. I was very excited to have a new pet bird thanks to my mom who surprise me with them. Watching my birds each day chirping and singing among themselves makes me happy throughout the day.

Currently in 2026, Tweety and Angel have many more bird friends as I have gotten more Parakeets to make a family! I have also expanded their environment so that they have more room to play, fly, and have a happy home. As of now I have 10 Parakeet birds and they all love to play and chirp all day long. I couldn’t be happier hearing my birds chirp throughout the day and spending time with them. They keep me company and make my life more exciting and adventurous each day.
How I spend my days at home with my Parakeet birds would be checking on them every morning. They are usually chirping or playing with their toys which I find adorable. Then, I give them fresh food and water for the day. I also like to give them a bird treat for them to snack on as a way of giving them great protein. Sometimes I like to talk to my birds throughout the day to see how well their doing. They mostly like to chirp all day and bond with one another.
